Jeannie L. Best, 79, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at her home in Austin.

She was born July 22, 1940, in Austin. Jeannie was the daughter of William and Cecile (Bertrand) Best. She graduated from Austin High School and shortly after moved to California where she worked in the banking industry. Later, she moved to Denver, Colorado, before returning to Austin to care for her mother after her father’s death.  She loved to travel, enjoyed photography, reading and her cats.

Surviving Jeannie are two sisters, Patricia (Robert) Spinella, Waterbury, Connecticut and Mary (Mike) Hill, Cedar Falls, Iowa; special cousin, Kit (Skip) Vermilyea, Wheatridge, Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Lincoln Brandt.

Burial will take place at a later date.
