Dr. Ted Hinchcliffe presented last week at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Brain Tumor SPORE annual meeting held at the Department of Neurosurgery, Northwestern Medical School, in Chicago. Dr. Hinchcliffe is part of the Mayo Brain Tumor SPORE, a large, multi-project p50 grants focused on cancer of a particular organ, in our case, the brain. This meeting was a gathering of all active and pending SPORE grantees from several Universities throughout the USA: UCSanFran Cancer Center, UCLA Cancer Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Harvard Med/Dana Farber Cancer Center, Duke Cancer Center, UAB Cancer Center, Northwestern Cancer Center, and Mayo. The purpose is to share updates from basic and translational research projects centered on brain tumors.
