Congratulations to Morgan Raymond and Abigail Muller on being named the Rotary Students of the Month for December 2019.

Morgan is a member of National Honors Society, Go Green Club, Youth Leadership, Link Crew, and participates in both soccer and gymnastics. She has received numerous awards, including the Austin High School Academic Award in multiple years and the Section 1A Academic Gold Award in both soccer and gymnastics.

“I’m very grateful for the experiences I have had [attending] Austin High School,” Morgan said.  “I’ve met a lot of great friends and teachers and have loved my classes.”

Morgan’s future plans include attending either the University of Minnesota or University of Wisconsin to major in environmental engineering.

Abigail is a member of band, jazz band, Link Crew, National Honors Society, and student council. She has received several awards and honors through both her involvement in 4-H and piano.

“High school will always have a special place in my heart,” Abigail said. “I am deeply grateful for the opportunities that have been offered to me and I have learned so much from all my teachers.”

Abigail’s future plans include attending South Dakota State University to double major in English and Spanish with a minor in music.

Each month the Austin Rotary, in conjunction with Austin Public Schools, selects two students who excel in academics, leadership, and/or activities.
