The Austin girls hockey team beat Rochester Century (1-18 overall, 1-12 Big Nine) 6-0 in Rochester Thursday.

Kate Holtz had two goals for the Packers (8-11 overall, 6-10 Big Nine) and Sarah Wangen, Lexi Stich, Jordyn McCormack, who had two assists, and Mikayah Ramsey all had one goal.

Shelby Davidson scored the shoutout with 32 saves and Austin had 50 shots on goal.

“We played a strong game. The girls wanted to avenge the loss earlier in the season. We have been playing really good over the last month and are hoping to carry it into the playoffs coming up,” Austin head coach Troy Holtz said. “The defensive core of Sam Krueger, Cassidy Davidson, and Sarah Wangen are at the top of their game.”

Austin has three regular season games remaining and all three are at Riverside Arena.
