The Austin Shrine Club and Oriental Band recently presented checks to kick off the Red Kettle Campaign during Christmas in the City on Nov. 29.

This has been a tradition since the mid-1950s and the Shriners will also be running throughout Austin on Friday, Dec. 6, and will submit a grant request to Minnesota Masonic Charities asking to have the amount collected that day for the Area Food Shelf be matched.
