Grace Elizabeth Heimer, 80 of Adams, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center in Grand Meadow, Minnesota.

Grace Elizabeth Heimer, 80

Grace was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Albert and Blanche (Clark) Wacholtz. She grew up in Austin, Minnesota, and graduated from Pacelli High School with the Class of 1957. She was united in marriage to Sheldon Gilbert Heimer on May 30, 1962, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. They lived their entire married life in Adams, where they raised their four sons. Grace was a homemaker, but she also worked part-time at the Bowling Alley and as a waitress. Grace was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, where she was active in her rosary group, CCW, served as an usher for many years and gave communion to shut-ins. She loved flowers and she enjoyed looking for antiques and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Blanche (Clark) Wacholtz; and two brothers-in-law, Bob Frandle and Dan Cunningham. Grace is survived by her husband, Sheldon Heimer of Adams; children, Marty Heimer of Faribault, Minnesota, Curt (Lisa) Heimer of Adams, Tracy (Deb) Heimer of Stacyville, Iowa, and Christopher Heimer of Owatonna, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Mitchell (Liz) Heimer of New Richland, Minnesota, Dillon (Kayla) Heimer of Rose Creek, Minnesota, Jordan Heimer of Adams, Brayden Heimer of Adams, Hailey (Ben) Stutt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dustin Heimer of Algona, Iowa, Shelby Heimer of Stacyville, and Jonathan Heimer of Burnsville, Minnesota; one great grandson, Aiden; two sisters, Barbara Frandle of Austin and Carol Cunningham of Carlisle, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with Father Swaminatha Pothireddy officiating. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., with a 4 p.m. rosary, on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at the Adam Funeral Home and will continue from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
