Second-half property taxes for agricultural land due Nov. 15

The Mower County Auditor-Treasurer’s office reminds taxpayers with agricultural land that second half real estate (property) taxes are due Friday, Nov. 15. 

Payments can be made by mail, by phone, or in person at the Auditor-Treasurer’s office located in the Mower County Government Center at 201 First Street NE in Austin. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. 

Please note that the Mower County Government Center will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, for the Veterans Day holiday.

Payment methods accepted include:  cash, check, credit card or e-check. A convenience fee applies to credit card payments and e-check payments. 

Tax payments can be made by phone during regular business office hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, by calling 507-437-9535 or 507-437-9456.

Please remember to mail or bring in the payment stub from your property tax statement with payment. 

By Minnesota state statute, a penalty will be added on Nov. 16 if payment is not made timely.  Tax payments postmarked on or before Nov. 15 will be accepted as timely paid.

Second half Mobile Home property taxes are also due by Friday, Nov. 15.
