The exhibit features Taufic’s photos that he’s compiling for his book “Our Austin, Our America.” It will feature portraits and life stories of immigrants, refugees and community leaders.
Taufic will present a brief overview of his project at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
“I am indebted to my hometown and was inspired to give back to all who made this community one of the best places to live in America,” Taufic said in a press release. “I am working with a dedicated team to create the ‘Our Austin, Our America’ traveling portrait exhibit and a book of real American stories through a lens of diversity and inclusion.”
Refreshments will be available and people can register to win a family portrait.
If you can’t make it, the exhibit will be up at the library through December during regular library hours.
