Minnesota’s modern old-world sound: SimpleGifts on Paramount stage Dec. 15

SimpleGifts with Billy McLaughlin will be bringing its Christmas feel to the Paramount Theatre stage on Dec. 15.
The show will be held at 2:30 p.m. with tickets for adults costing $25 and $18 for students and seniors.
The day of the show tickets are $30 and $20 respectively.
SimpleGifts avoids the commercial aspects of Christmas playing songs closer to the heart. The group consists of violin, Celtic whistle and bagpipes, piano acoustic guitar and percussion with three-part female vocals.
The group includes McLaughlin (acoustic guitar), Billy Oehrlein (percussion), Heather Moen (vocals and violin), Laura MacKenzie (wooden flutes, whistles, concertina, bagpipes), Karen Paurus (vocals) and Amy Courts (vocals and melodica).
The opening act will include Morgan Dickman & Friends.
