Caleb Ruben Marin Flicek, 15, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at his home in Lakota, Iowa.

Caleb was born Nov. 5, 2004, the son of Kendra Rose MacIntosh and Michael C. Flicek in Austin. He grew up in Austin and attended school at Southgate Elementary School. In 2013, he moved to Lakota along with his mother, her fiancé, and his three sisters. Caleb was currently attending North Iowa Community Schools. He participated in cross country, wrestling and Boy Scouts. Caleb’s favorite color was green. He enjoyed music, anime and spending time with his family and friends. Caleb enjoyed visiting his father in California. He was a very bright and kind person, always trying to put a smile on everyone’s face, full of laughter and love. Caleb had a heart of gold, always putting others first. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

Flicek of San Bernardino, California; four sisters, Ariella  MacIntosh of Lakota, Amelia Perez of Lakota, Alayna Perez of Lakota and Mikayla Flicek of Cabazon, California; Grandpa Al and Grandma Candis of  Mapleview, Minnesota; great-grandmother, Gayle Carey of Austin; grandmother, Mary Carey of Austin; grandfather, Michael W. Flicek of Austin; aunts, Amber MacIntosh, Julia Rembao and Trisha Kester; uncle, Ian MacIntosh; and many cousins, other relatives and friends. Caleb was preceded in death by his grandmother, Angela Marie MacIntosh; grandfather, Ruben Garcia; great-grandfather, Bernard Carey; great-grandfather, Kenneth Anthony Folken; and great-grandmother, Beatrice E. Folken.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel, 1801 Fourth St. NW, Austin, MN 55912. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
