ALBERT LEA — An Austin man was injured Friday in a T-bone crash in eastern Freeborn County.

Randy Peter Hofius, 57, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office stated Hofius was driving a Mercury Sable westbound on 320th Street, when he reportedly didn’t stop at a stop sign and crashed into a Ford Taurus, driven by Ronald Jensen, 61, of Albert Lea that was southbound on Mower-Freeborn Road. Jensen reportedly attempted to slow down but wasn’t able to in time.

Jensen was not injured.

Hofius was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
