The Hayfield football team lost to Rushford-Peterson (6-2 overall) by a score of 38-29 in Hayfield Wednesday.

The Vikings (3-5 overall) pulled to within 32-29 when Dawson Andrew returned a punt 73 yards for a score with 1:26 left in the third quarter and Ethan Slaathaug picked off a pass in the fourth quarter to give Hayfield a chance to take the lead.
