An Austin woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a Thursday morning accident at Highway 218 and 10th Drive Southeast.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol accident report, a 2011 Toyota RAV4 was traveling southbound on 10th Drive Southeast at about 11:24 a.m. on Thursday when it stopped at the stop sign at Highway 218. It then entered the intersection and was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt going south on Highway 218.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, Janet Marjorie Borg, 73, of Austin was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet, Keith Alex Thompson, 65, of Bovey was uninjured.

The report states road conditions were wet at the time of the accident. Alcohol was determined not to be a factor in the accident.
