Hwy 218 motorists in Lyle should be alert for a one-day lane closure on Oct. 30 to repair the northbound shoulder near Pershing Avenue, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The lane closure will require flaggers, who will allow traffic to move in one direction at a time in the single open lane. The shoulder area of the road north of Pershing Avenue was damaged during construction.

Earlier this year, construction crews added a northbound right turn lane and southbound bypass lane at the Hwy 218 and Pershing Avenue intersection in Lyle.
