Mayo optimization plan on council agenda

Dr. Mark Ciota and Kristin Johnson will review the Mayo Clinic optimization plan for the Austin City Council during the council’s next regular work session.

Items to be discussed include the optimization of inpatient services, such as the consolidation of the intensive care unit and the maximization of surgical space, and project summaries of the medical/surgical unit and the Family Birth Center.

City Engineer Steven Lang will update the council on the Turtle Creek 2 project and Planning and Zoning Director Holly Wallace will discuss proposed future city annexations during the work session. Administrative Services Director Tom Dankert will continue discussion of the 2020 budget and 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan.

The council’s next regular meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, in the City Council Chambers located in the basement of City Hall. The work session will be held in the conference room across the hall from the Council Chambers immediately following the meeting.
