Judith Ann Williams, 71

Judith Ann Williams, 71, of Waltham, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Judy was born Feb. 27, 1948, in Austin, Minnesota, to Clarence and Margaret (Skinner) Johnson. She was a graduate of Pacelli High School in Austin. On Oct. 27, 1966, she married Charles Williams. Judy owned and operated her own cleaning service. She was a member and past President of the Hayfield American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and served on the Waltham Booster Club. Judy and Charles enjoyed traveling together, especially to one of her favorite places, Deadwood, South Dakota. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, counting cross stitch and sitting around the fire visiting with friends and family. Judy was a fun loving, kind and giving woman. She was a great listener and enjoyed hearing all about other people’s lives. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles; son, Michael (Christine) Williams of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; grandson, Alex; sisters, Ann (Tom) Braverman of Montana, Linda (Mike) Miller of North Mankato, Minnesota, Rebecca (Kevin) Driscoll of Waterville, Minnesota, and Suzanne (Eugene) Leckness of Hayfield, Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Margaret.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at the Hayfield American Legion Post 330, 7 East Main St. Hayfield, MN 55940. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the American Legion. A private family burial will take place at Waltham Cemetery.
