Donna Mavis Shoden, 88, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin.

Donna was born on April 1, 1931, in Cherry Grove, Minnesota, to Purl and Lydia (Wolkenhauer) Wildman. She graduated from Austin High School in 1949. On Oct. 15, 1949, Donna was united in marriage to LaVaine Shoden and together they raised three children.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest memories were summers spent at the cabin near Deer River.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LaVaine; and brother, Marvin Wildman. Donna is survived by her sons, Jerome Shoden and Bruce Shoden, both of Charles City, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Debra (Mark) Durben, Albert Lea, Minnesota; two granddaughters, Heather (Jeremy) Johnson, Austin, and Shari Durben, Rochester, Minnesota; and two great-grandsons, Ian and Gavin Johnson, both of Austin.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with Pastor Ruben Unseth officiating. Visitation will be for one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
