MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

The Austin Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking a qualified person to perform maintenance duties for 56 family houses and other miscellaneous properties.

Duties include: unit turnover (paint-ing, cleaning, repairs, general maintenance, lawn mowing and snow removal), work order re-pairs and purchasing supplies. Must serve in an “on call” capacity to respond to maintenance emergencies. Must have the ability to repair and/or diagnose problems with-appliances, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and heating issues.

Must be able to operate machinery such as power tools, lawnmowers, snowblowers, floor cleaners, etc.

Must also interact positively with tenants and communicate effectively.

Starting pay is $20.50/hour plus benefits.
