Assessment hearings on council agenda

The Austin City Council will be holding a series of public assessment hearings during its next regular meeting.

Hearings to be held will include:

  • Reassessment of tax forfeited properties
  • 2018-19 snow removal
  • 2019 garbage and junk removal
  • 2018-19 weed and grass removal
  • Miscellaneous sidewalk and driveway projects
  • Administrative citations (Park and Rec., Zoning, Rental Housing and Sump Pump)
  • Hazardous housing abatement
  • Unpaid daycare inspections

The council will vote on whether or not to adopt the assessment rolls after each hearing.

Administrative Services Director Tom Dankert will continue discussing the 2020 Budget as well as the 5 Year Capital Improvement Plan during the council’s next work session.

The council’s next regular meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, in the City Council Chambers located in the basement of City Hall. The work session will held in the conference room across the hall from the Council Chambers immediately following the meeting.
