AFD to hold open house

The Austin Fire Department will be hosting an open house from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Austin Fire Station.
Vistors will be able to explore and learn about the fire department, get tours of the trucks, view an auto extrication demo, use a real fire hose, dress like a firefighter, take part in adult fire extinguisher operation and meet Sparky, the fire dog.
