Sept. 3, 13 teams played duplicate bridge.

First place, Jim Fisher and Dave Ring; second place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; third place, John Leisen and Rick Stroup; fourth place, Gail and Ray Schmidt; fifth place, Quentin Fiala and Jaynard Johnson.

Sept. 4, 11 teams played duplicate bridge.

First place, Julie Prochnow and Lorraine Quinlivan; second place, Tom Flaherty and Stan Schultz; third place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; fourth place, Eunice Michealis and Dave Ring.

Both sessions are played weekly at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. Players do not need to be  a member of the center, although they are encouraged to do so. Players come from Northwood and Mason City, Iowa,  Albert Lea, Adams, Rose Creek and Austin.
