Scarlets rally past Packer volleyball team in four games

The Austin volleyball team couldn’t keep any momentum as it lost to Mankato West (8-6 overall, 6-1 Big Nine) 18-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-22 in Packer Gym Tuesday.

The Packers (7-4 overall, 1-3 Big Nine) led the final game 6-1 early on, but the Scarlets bounced back to take the lead. The game was tied at 22-22 down the stretch, but the Scarlets scored the last three points of the night.

“We’re so close,” Austin head coach Lauren Cost said. “Every team we play shows us where our holes are and what we need to work on.”
