The public is invited to attend an information open house on Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Blooming Prairie to learn about a reconstruction project on Highway 218 planned for 2023, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Representatives of MnDOT and others will be available to answer questions and provide information from 4-7 p.m. at Blooming Prairie City Hall, 138 Highway Ave. S, Blooming Prairie.

During the session, MnDOT and its consultants will share what has been heard from various stakeholders, alternative concepts that are being considered and dismissed, alternatives chosen for further analysis, and the results of analysis thus far. People may drop by at any time during the session. Maps and information will be available for review.

Work is scheduled to start in 2023 to reconstruct Highway 218 from south of Third Street SE to Highway 30.
