The Austin girls soccer team held off Red Wing to win 2-1 in Red Wing (5-6 overall, 2-6 Big Nine) Thursday.

Grace Mayer scored the game-winning goal for the Packers on an assist from Emily Bollum with 22:21 left in the game.

Hope Dudycha scored the first goal for the Packers (5-7 overall, 4-4 Big Nine) with three seconds left in the first half.

“In the first half our passes weren’t connecting as much as we’d like,” Austin head coach Jake Levisen said. “In the second half we got back to playing our style. It was truly a team effort.”

Robin Weaver had four saves in the win.
