A Highway 16 detour between Highway 63 and Interstate 90 ended Friday, but motorists should continue to be alert for work crews paving, installing guardrails, striping and doing rumble strip work along this corridor from Spring Valley through Grand Meadow to Dexter, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Crews wrapped up culvert replacement work west of Highway 63 on Highway 16. Remaining work on the project is expected to end by early October.
During the paving work motorists will encounter single-lane traffic with flaggers and brief closures of intersections during the paving operation. Short traffic delays are likely.
