Darrell Allen Pater, 71, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at his home in Waltham, Minnesota.

Darrell Pater was born on May 17, 1948, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Albert and Violet Pater of Waltham. He was united in marriage to Patty Powell and they were later divorced.

Darrell was a self-employed auto repairman and later retired. Over the years, Darrell resided in Santa Ana, California, Tualatin, Oregon, and finally made his home in Waltham for over 40 years.

Darrell is survived by his siblings, Marlys Zane, Minneiska, Minnesota, Dennis Pater, Waltham, Tim (Lynn) Pater, Byron, Minnesota, and Scott Pater, Waltham; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Charles; and one sister-in-law, Pam.
