RosaLea “Rosie” Churchill, 88, of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Grand Meadow Health Care Center.

RosaLea Augusta Ziebell was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Myrtle, Minnesota, to Otto and Bernice (Cipra) Ziebell. She was united in marriage to Berton Churchill on May 17, 1953, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle. Rosie farmed with Berton and helped on their dairy farm. They enjoyed

dancing together for 55 years and would even dance in the aisle of the barn. Rosie was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed knitting, making crafts and playing cards, especially Bridge. She was at the nursing home and assisted living for about four years. The family greatly appreciates the care of the nursing home staff and St. Croix Hospice.

Rosie is survived by her twin daughters, Jeanette Curley of Grand Meadow and Janet (Tom) Schroeder of Iron, Minnesota; son, Paul (Christine) Churchill of Alma, Wisconsin; siblings, George Ziebell, Irene Paape, Laverne (Beverly) Ziebell, Frances (Keith) Olson, Virginia Knight and David (Patsy) Ziebell; in-laws, Karen Ziebell, Lois Ziebell, Jack (Josie) Churchill and Maryanne Henessey; grandchildren, Lisa (Cory) McLouden, Kyle Schroeder, Melanie (Lamoine) Hicks, Devin (Anne) Curley, Jared (Maxine) Curley, Karissa (Gary) Wingert, Meghan (David) Mathis and Brandon Churchill; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Berton, in 2008; son-in-law, Wayne Curley; sister, Marie; brothers, Fred and Lawrence; in-laws, Virgil, Dean, Elaine, Ronald, Sheldon and Donald; two nieces; and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at United Church of Grand Meadow with the Rev. Jon Marburger officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
