The Hayfield football team opened its season with a bang as it blew past Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons 40-18 in Alden Thursday night.

Brady Nelson threw three TD passes in the first half as the Vikings jumped out to a 33-0 lead at the break. Patrick Towey hauled in a 12-yard score to get the onslaught started, Luke Dudycha had a 66-yard TD grab and Towey pulled in a three-yard strike with nine seconds left in the half.
