Grace M. Miner, 92

Grace M. Miner, 92 of Winona, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Monday, July 22, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Grace was born on Sept. 15, 1926, to Henry and Anna (Tammen) Konken in Brownsdale, Minnesota. On Feb. 1, 1948, she married Morris “Mike” Miner.

Grace had the joy of staying at home to raise her family, but also spent a lot of her time volunteering at Winona Health. She was also a member of the DORCAS Circle and a proud member of the Winona Lions Club.

Grace and Mike loved dancing together. Some of her favorite times were spent playing piano and guitar in their family band. She also enjoyed playing the harmonica. Grace’s faith was very important to her; she was a member of Central Lutheran Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, reminiscing of the many things they all did together.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Mike; nine children, Bonnie (Jim) Miller of Austin, Texas, Steve (Deb Swenson) Miner of Harmony, Minnesota, Jackie (Robert) Wenzel of Lewiston, Minnesota, Mike (Diane) Miner of Lime Springs, Iowa, Duane (Mary) Miner of Peterson, Minnesota, Annette (Mike) Tabor of Mazeppa, Minnesota, Marshall (Roxy Jetson) Miner of Mesa, Arizona, Kelly Miner of La Crescent, Minnesota, and Holly (Don) Thompson of Utica, Minnesota; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Konken; brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons; one son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; brothers; and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Central Lutheran Church in Winona. Visitation will be from 4-7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, Minnesota, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
