Best Bets: Small town festivals in Hayfield, Rose Creek this weekend

The Hayfield Fire Department will be holding the 2019 Chicken Fry and Street Dances July 12-13.

The annual Field of Flags will be on display through July 14, with a special ceremony to be held on July 13.

Rose Creek Fun Days will be held from July 12-14. Among several activities over the three days will be a tractor and truck pull at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the band Negative Waves performing at 8:30 p.m. that  night.

• Independence Day Dinner, noon at the Mower County Senior Center. Celebrate Independence Day with a great dinner featuring beef, potato salad, baked beans and dessert.
