Aniceta (Ceta) Lillian Overocker, 93, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ceta was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Meyer, Iowa, to Arthur and Louise (Weber) Durben. She approached all things in life with a kind and gentle spirit. She and Kenny danced the years away well into their eighties. She was most happy working in her flower garden, where everything flourished under her loving touch. Martha Stewart didn’t have anything on her.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Ceta is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Kenneth; five children, Connie (Roger) Bass, Minneapolis, Patricia Buck, Minneapolis, Randy (Luan) Overocker, Austin, LuAnn Heald, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Diane (Peter) King, Greensboro, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Tom (Justine) Bass, Lauren (Chris) Moldan, Kate (Sam) Moore, Sarah Srsen and Paul (Erin) Overocker; seven great-grandchildren, Brody, Olivia, Carson, Cooper, Kale, Kade and Tayylor; sister, Eileen Koenigs, Adams, Minnesota; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Stan, Ambrose, Alverna and Lester.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Jim Steffes officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and will continue for one hour before the service on Friday at the church.
