Semcac has announced its new Executive Director, Doug Grout.

Grout has experience working with low-income households, people with disabilities, seniors, immigrants and minorities. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to learn and employ techniques in team building and management.

He also has a strong background of over 25 years experience working in the public and nonprofit sector. This includes significant experience administering successful affordable housing, redevelopment and rehabilitation loan projects.

Grout also serves on the board of directors for a nonprofit organization that provides services to homeless and at-risk youth.

“Listening to, working with and advocating for consumers is paramount to achieving an organization’s mission,” he said.
