Pacelli will induct new Hall of Fame members on June 21

Pacelli High School will induct five new members to its Hall of Fame on Pacelli Golf Day on June 21.
Bill Herzog, Scott Peterson, Kristen Nelsen, Julie Kvam and Jill Kvam will be the new members headed to the Hall of Fame.
Bill Herzog, class of 1969
Herzog, a member of the first Pacelli cross country team in 1966, was a two-time All-State performer in his junior and senior years. He set a school record with a personal best time of 9:40 over the two mile course.
Herzog was a four-year letterman in track and field, attaining All-State honors in his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He held all Pacelli High School distance records at the time of his graduation.
Herzog was an All-Conference basketball player in 1969, and a member of the 1967 and 1969 state tournament basketball teams.
Scott Petersen, class of 1969
Petersen was a two-time letterman and a member of the 1969 fourth place state tournament basketball team. He was selected to the All-Tournament Team, All-Conference, and the WCCO All-State Team in 1969.
Petersen was a four-year letterman in baseball. He on the 1967 state championship team as well as the 1968 and 1969 tournament teams.
Petersen continued his athletic career at Mankato State College and was a member of the 1969-70 basketball team.
Petersen played for the Mankato State baseball team and participated in the 1971 NCAA D-II National Tournament where their team finished in fourth place. Petersen was inducted as a member of the Mankato State University Hall of Fame Team.
Kristen Nelsen, class of 1988
Nelsen earned 13 letters while attending Pacelli High School as she compiled five in golf, four volleyball, three basketball, and one in cross country.
Nelsen earned All-Conference honors in three of those sports. Nelsen went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota and Hamline Law School. She currently serves as the Mower County Attorney and has held that position since 2006.
Julie Kvam, class of 1996
Julie was a four year letter-winner volleyball, basketball and softball while attending Pacelli.
Julie was All-Conference in volleyball and basketball in her senior year and she was All-Conference in softball in her junior and senior years.
Julie was a member of the National Honor Society and homecoming queen. She also played one year of volleyball for Helen Jahr while attending Riverland Community College.
Jill Kvam, class of 1997
Jill lettered in five sports while attending Pacelli, four in basketball, two softball, and one each in volleyball, tennis, and track and field.
Jill was a four time letter-winner in basketball, earning All-Conference in her senior season.
Jill was All-Conference, All-Section, and honorable mention All-State in softball in 1997. Jill set new school record in with a .521 batting average and slugging percentage of 1.042.
Jill was Pacelli’s homecoming queen.
