Driver taken to hospital after Friday accident; Cited for failure to yield

An Austin man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon.

According to Austin Police Capt. Todd Clennon, Hser Wah, 26, was turning left onto 18th Avenue Northwest when an oncoming pick-up truck heading south on Fourth Street Northwest t-boned his vehicle at about 3:20 p.m. on Friday.

Austin Police, Austin Fire and Mayo Ambulance Service all responded to the scene.

Wah was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin due to lower back pain. The driver of the pick-up sustained a few minor injuries, according to Clennon.

Wah was cited for failure to yield during a left turn on a green light.
