David Delane Jepsen, 80

David Delane Jepsen, 80, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Valley Vista Good Samaritan Home in Wamego, Kansas.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1938 in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Hugo Jepsen and Violet (Miller) Jepsen. He graduated high school in Austin and enlisted in the United States Air Force. In 1958, while stationed at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas, he met Janice Elaine Elder. They were married on July 2, 1960, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Wamego. They were stationed many places during Dave’s career, including Guam, before moving to Sacramento, California, when David retired from the Air Force. They later moved to Wamego. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Janice, of the home; two sisters, Carol Perkins and Terry Hagen, both of Minnesota; and a brother, Jerry Jepsen of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; and stepfather.
