Rosemary Klapperich, 86, of Austin, Minnesota was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.Rosemary was born June 11, 1932. She grew up on the family farm just miles from town.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Klapperich at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer, Minnesota. They moved to Austin and raised their family.

Rosemary’s children describe their mom as “extraordinary;” that is an understatement. She surprised them with her cooking and baking, called and checked in on them, and later babysat the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her faith sustained her; a rosary and prayer book were always near with notes on friends and family in need of prayer.

Left to Cherish her memory are her children, James Klapperich, Austin, Ruth (Ed) Arons, Austin, Nancy (Robert) Herron, Le Sueur, Minnesota, William Klapperich, Austin, Tom (Penny) Klapperich, Austin, and Kelly (Mike) Engh, Woodbury, Austin; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Kresbsbach.

Awaiting her in Heaven is her husband, Raymond “Peachy”; brothers, Gerald and Oswald; sisters, Carol Osmundson and Alice Mullenbach; and great-grandson, Nathan Dorsey.

The family wishes to thank the ER and ICU Staff at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus-Rochester for the loving care they showed our family during this difficult time.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Austin with Father James Steffes officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Mayer Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
