The Hayfield baseball team won the Section 1A West title when it beat Blooming Prairie 8-1 and topped Lyle-Pacelli 10-5 at Riverland Saturday.

Hayfield’s Easton Fritcher struck out 10 in the win over BP and Luke Dudycha picked up the win in relief against LP.
The top-seeded Vikings (20-2 overall) will play Spring Grove in the Section 1A Tournament at Riverland at 10 a.m. Saturday.
LP (13-9 overall) opened its tournament with an 8-0 win over United South Central as Zach Bollingberg struck out nine in the shutout.

BP (8-13 overall) will take on USC (13-8 overall) in an elimination game in Riverland at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The winner of that game will take on LP at Riverland at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
