Waltham man injured in accident

A Waltham man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, Justin John Hulst, 33, of Waltham was driving a 2007 Saturn Vue southbound on Highway 56 at about 4:43 p.m. in Ashland Township in Dodge County. A 2006 Chevy Avalanche that was stopped at a stop sign on Highway 14 then proceeded into the intersection and was struck by the Saturn.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Dodge Center Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the scene.

Hulst was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus-Rochester with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevy Avalanche, Nicole Marie Hetrick, 41, of Blooming Prairie, was uninjured.
