The Austin softball team beat Rochester Century (0-5 overall) 5-3 in the dome at Wescott Athletic Complex Thursday.

Austin (4-4 overall) took the lead in the fifth inning when Jenna Braaten singled and Avery Thompson, who homered earlier in the game, drew a walk to set up a three-run double by Hannah McMasters.

Jaeda Bekaert picked up the win for the Packers as she struck out six.

“I was proud of the way Jaeda pitched,” Austin head coach Lisa Late said. “She faced some tough batters and her change up has never looked better. The girls fought back and it was a fun win.”
