One man injured in Brownsdale crash

A Preston man was transported Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin Saturday afternoon after his vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer in Brownsdale.

According to Minnesota State Patrol reports, Orville Duane Jensen, 83 was stopped at the eastbound stop sign of County Road 2 at around 4:30 p.m., when he pulled out into traffic, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. He was struck by the semi, driven by Richard Dean Gehling of Grand Meadow, 61, who was traveling northbound on Highway 56.

Jensen was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered non-non life threatening injuries.

Gehling suffered no injuries.

Mower County Sheriff’s deputies, Brownsdale Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance responded to the accident.
