Man charged with meth sale
Archie Deangelo Larkins, also known as Archie David Larkins, 42, of Austin was charged with felony third-degree drugs-sale of a narcotic on Friday in Mower County District Court.
According to the court complaint, narcotics detectives met with a confidential reliable informant (CRI) on July 27, 2018, about purchasing methamphetamine from Larkins.
The CRI was searched and given buy money and an audio transmitter. He was then monitored as he went to a location in the city of Austin and purchased methamphetamine from Larkins.
The CRI then met police at a predetermined location and turned over 1.26 grams of methamphetamine. He also confirmed Larkins sold him the drugs.
Larkins’ whereabouts after the sale were unknown and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
A review of Larkins’ criminal record shows prior convictions for theft, drug possession and drug sales.
Larkins will appear in court again on April 18.
