Ashley HomeStore open to the public
After a Friday evening contractor’s sale, the new Ashley HomeStore in Austin opened its doors to the public on Saturday.
Located in the old Target store, a space it shares with Hobby Lobby, the roughly 40,000 square-foot store offers a variety of furniture options.
“Our main company is Ashley; we carry all of their supplies,” said store manager Michael Linderman. “We also carry mattresses with Stearns and Foster, Tempur-Pedic, Sealy and our Ashley Sleep products.”
Attached to the store is a La-Z-Boy Gallery, which Linderman said features some of the top La-Z-Boy products available.
“We have a variety or recliners, couches, sectionals, and a lot of that is special order,” he said. ”You can pick a sofa or recliner and there are multiple different fabrics you can put on them.”
Linderman also said the store features the company’s new layout, setting it apart from other locations within the region.
With the store now open, Linderman hopes it will attract business from surrounding communities as well as Austin.
“Hopefully we bring a lot of outside people,” he said. “We’ve never had an Ashley Furniture in this area. We have products for everybody and we want to hit every price point we can. We want everybody to have a great experience when they come into the store. We have great customer service, a fun atmosphere and great prices.”
A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring members of the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce and Ashley HomeStore representatives will be held on May 22.
Ashley HomeStore is located at 1701 Eighth Ave. NW. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
