Two area wrestlers are in title contention at Class A State Meet

Two area wrestlers won their first two matches to advance to the semifinals at the Minnesota Class A State Wrestling Meet at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Friday.
Westfield junior Colton Krell is in the semifinals at 170-pounds after he beat Alex Lange of Holdingford 9-1 and he beat Brett Graham of Frazee 9-3.

GMLOS senior Jackson Hale advanced to the semifinals at 132-pounds after he beat Tyler Jensen of BBE 11-1 and he topped Nate Williams of CRIR 5-1.

Westfield junior Dylan Nirk was knocked out of title contention when he lost 3-2 to Dylan Jergenson of Minnewaska.

GMLOS eighth grader Cohen Wiste lost his first and only match at state as he lost 7-2 to Jesus Anaya of Adrian.
