Rosalind A. “Rosie” Reinartz, 84, of Adams, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, surrounded by her family at the Adams Heath Care Center in Adams.

Rosalind Alvina was born Feb. 18, 1935, in Adams to Nordeen and Marion (Kirtz) Lewison. She attended Sacred Heart Parochial School in Adams and graduated with the Class of 1953 from Adams High School. Rosie was united in marriage to Nicholas Reinartz on June 12, 1956, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams. Rosie and Nick raised their family and farmed in Adams Township in Mower County, Minnesota.

Rosie was active in her children’s lives and served many years as their 4-H leader. She was also a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the CCW. Together, Rosie and Nick served on the Mower County ADA Board of Directors. Rosie enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, canning, yard work, morning coffee and walks with her friends, playing 500 and bingo. Time spent with her dear sisters was important to her, and she enjoyed the years they baked Christmas cookies together. Rosie treasured her family, and loved the many shopping trips and lunches out with her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene “Brother” Lewison; sister-in-law, Harriet Lewison; and brother-in-law, Dave Wiste.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Nick of Adams; children, Deb (Tom) Felten of Rose Creek, Minnesota, Steve (Darcey) Reinartz of Adams, Mike (Kim) Reinartz of Stewartville, Minnesota, Mark Reinartz of Adams, Brian (Ann) Reinartz of Rose Creek and Krista (Craig) Hegge of Adams; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Wiste of Adams, Connie (Bob) Irvin of Rose Creek, and Sister Joan Lewison OSF, Assisi Heights, Rochester, Minnesota; brother, Richard Lewison of Adams; and sister-in-law, Barb Lewison of Adams.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with Father Swaminatha Pothireddy officiating. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., with a 4 p.m. Rosary, on Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Adams Funeral Home and will continue on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
