Roger L. Crews, 77, of Stacyville, Iowa, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 14, 2019, at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City, Iowa, surrounded by his loving family.

Roger was born May 12, 1941, in Austin to Gerald and Leona (Sargent) Crews. Roger grew up in Austin and worked at Crews Auto Parts and was self-employed for many years. Roger and Sandy lived in Waltham, Minnesota, for many years, then moved to Stacyville in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, sightseeing, and spending time with family and friends. Roger will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Ulwelling of Stacyville; sons, Roger (Karen) Crews, Jr. of Lake Mills, Iowa, Ron (Melissa Akkerman) Crews of Austin and Jon Crews of Kasson, Minnesota; daughter, Krystal (Allen Duren) Crews of Stacyville; 10 grandchildren, Carissa, Amanda, Brandon, Emily, Madison, Jeff, Tyler, Brianna, Maci and Zoe; three brothers, Robert (Valinda) Crews of Austin, Darrell (Jean) Crews of Austin and Ramon (Sue) Crews of Waltham; six sisters, Audrey Tindal of Austin, Marlys Staffon of Austin, Charlene Kruger of Oakland, Minnesota, Betty (Bill) Hansen of Austin, Dawn Taylor of Austin and Renee (Jeff) Janney of Mauston, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Sheri Crews of Spring Valley, Minnesota, and Tracey Crews of Austin; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Leona Crews; and two brothers, Gary and Jim Crews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and will continue for two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
