Hale claims a state title for GMLOS wrestling team

GMLOS senior Jackson Hale put an exclamation point on his wrestling career when he captured a state title at 132-pounds at the Minnesota Class A State Wrestling Meet in Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Saturday.

Hale handed Mason Gode of Long Prairie-Grey Eagle-Browerville his first loss of the season in the title match with a 3-0 decision.

Hale, who finished the year with a 41-3 record, beat Dereck Ellingson of TMBW 6-4 in the semifinals.

Colton Krell, a Westfield junior, finished in the third place at 170 pounds after he beat Brett Graham of Frazee 9-3.
Krell finished with a record of 38-4 overall.
