An Austin man was injured Tuesday in a rollover crash in icy conditions on Interstate 90 east of Albert Lea.

Zinsou Assogba, 48, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with at least one injury deemed not life-threatening.

Assogba was driving a 2004 Kia Sorento west on I-90 when he lost control in icy conditions, causing him to enter the median and roll the vehicle on its side at 8:15 a.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Assogba was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report states.

Hayward Fire Department, Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted on scene.
