Hayfield senior Mason Tapp became the 10th player in Hayfield history to reach the 1,000 career point milestone as the Vikings beat Schaeffer Academy (11-13 overall) 72-52 in Hayfield Monday.

Tapp finished with 30 points for the Vikings (20-4 overall) and he reached the 1,000 point mark on a free throw in the second half.
