Mower County under winter weather advisory

The National Weather Service in La Crosse, Wisconsin, has issued a winter weather advisory for Southeast Minnesota effective from 3 p.m. today to midnight Wednesday.
According to the NWS, snow accumulations of two to five inches are expected. The snow could possibly end with freezing rain and residents should expect a light glaze of ice accumulation.
The snow could affect the evening commute with the possibility of slick roads.
The main impact is expected to be north of Interstate 90, where a heavy band of snow could drop as much as six inches. The NWS reports that there is still some uncertainty on the exact location of the snow band and changes to the forecast could occur.
