Lynn M. Lagerstedt, 76, of Adams, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus-Rochester.

Lynn Merlon was born April 7, 1942, in Gaylord, Minnesota, to Merlon and Jennie (Maxwell) Lagerstedt. He was baptized and confirmed in the Augustana Lutheran Church of Gibbon, Minnesota. Lynn grew up on the family farm in Gibbon, and he and his family were very active in 4-H in his youth. He graduated with the Class of 1960 from Gibbon High School and continued his education at the University of Minnesota-St. Paul Campus, where he was active in the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. In 1964, he earned his bachelor of science degree in agricultural education and began his teaching career. Lynn was united in marriage to Carol Lee Osmundson on Easter Day, March 26, 1967, at Little Cedar Lutheran Church. During his teaching career, he taught at Adams High School, Elkton High School and Southland High School. In 1976, he left teaching to start his own business, Farm-Tech in Adams. Lynn was truly a pioneer in the ag service industry. Not one to “retire,” he was able to slow down with his son Dave and daughter Jaymie taking over the family business.

Lynn treasured time spent with his family. His grandchildren will remember him for making them breakfast everyday before school, with “Waffle Wednesdays” being their favorite! Lynn was active in the Adams Community as a member of the Adams Lions Club and former member of the Adams City Council. He was a longtime member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church, where he served as chairman of the building committee during the construction of the new church. Lynn was an avid Minnesota Gopher fan and loved the saying “Row the Boat.”
